Story behind the Wedding photo #7

Some years ago, to be exact in 2006, I photographed a wedding on a weekend in which the entire east coast was experiencing the remnants of Hurricane Ernesto. Ernesto was a category 1 hurricane that by the time it made it’s way to New Jersey it was already a Tropical storm. But don’t let that fool you, a tropical storm is no joke, especially when the wedding reception is taking place ON THE BEACH! (story continued below)...

Wedding at Tim McCloone’s Asbury Park

I returned to Tim McCloone’s Supper Club in Asbury Park to photograph a wedding after being there last year, this time for Jovan and JT’s wedding. We had perfect weather for October…the beache actually had many sunbathers! In October! The bride and groom though had planned their wedding ceremony to be inside at Tim McCloone’s and not on the beach…after all who would know that a mid October Wedding would...

Wedding at Sussex County Fairgrounds Conservatory

On Sunday of this past week I had the honor of photographing Susan and Jose’s wedding day at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, one of my most frequent venues. Since the weather was still chilly the couple decided to have the ceremony inside the newly renovated area next to the conservatory. Photography started with some getting ready shots but the couple opted not to see each other before the ceremony so there was no first look....

Weddings at The Madison Hotel

The Madison Hotel in Morristown is a great wedding venue not far from where I live and I am fortunate enough to photograph there every so often. They have a beautiful conservatory which is almost always the room that my weddings take place in. There is also a more traditional room for receptions in the main building. The grounds outside are also very nice for making photographs. The beautiful setting, open air areas (for cocktail...

Wedding at The Columns in Avon by the Sea

Megan and Dan got married down the Shore a couple of weeks ago at The Columns in Avon by the Sea. It’s so great to shoot weddings at the Jersey Shore and Avon by the Sea is such a cute little shore town. The couple chose to do a first look on the boardwalk so that they could do family photos before the ceremony, freeing up the cocktail hour so that everyone could enjoy it. After the first look we went hit the sand and did a...

Maplewood Country Club Wedding

These previews are from Danielle & Marco’s wedding at the Maplewood Country Club in Maplewood NJ a couple of weekends ago. All the days events were held at the club on what was a very hot day and actually it was the first day that really¬†made you feel that Summer was arriving. As I usually do, I scout the venue for spots to take the group photos and consider light, heat (cold), scenery and things along those lines in making...

Merri-Makers at Waters Edge

Today I’m posting photographs from another venue I have worked at quite a few times over the last 10 years. It’s a popular spot in New Jersey for Weddings, especially in the Summer, the Merri Makers at Waters Edge in Sea Bright New Jersey. Ceremonies tend to be on the beach, but if needed can be indoors. I have also seen receptions both in tents right on the beach or in one of their indoor rooms. One particularly memorable...

At the Arts Center

I’ve been to many concerts at the PNC Arts Center but this was the first time that I photographed a wedding at the PNC Reception Center which is just a few yards away from the famous concert venue in Central New Jersey. Kristen & Michael’s ceremony and reception were both held at the PNC Reception Center this past Saturday the 26th of November. To everyone’s surprise it was a warm day in New Jersey with...
